Our posters provide support to address Youth Crime and information about the Criminal Justice System.
Helping Victims of Hate Crime
A poster designed to address the mindset of the youth by helping them make better choices, and avoid getting into those situations which may lead to a life of crime.
The poster has been designed based on the science of Neuro-Associative Conditioning which, as you may know, is a system that describes the process of change in human beings, and is based upon the premise that there are two determining reasons for human behavior:
- The need to avoid pain and/or
- The desire to gain pleasure
In order for the brain to efficiently evaluate how to rapidly accomplish these two tasks, you must create neuro-associations (associations within the nervous system) that are used to instantly determine the meaning (pain/pleasure) of situations, actions, people, things, emotions, etc. These neuro-associations (represented here by the good and bad images in the poster), are the directing force of all human behaviour.
The poster will be localised for your area and will contain your logo as the sponsor, as well as the contact details of the local youth support services and agencies helping in the implementation of the five outcomes of Every Child Matters. The poster displayed at schools, colleges, community and youth centres, will act as a constant reminder of the consequences of choices and actions which the youth make or are pressurised to make every day.
Helping Our Communities Stay Safe
The Criminal Justice System is a very complex organisation with many facets, targets, aspirations and objectives. It has a wealth of information which it needs to communicate to the public.
It would not be within the scope of one poster to communicate everything, but as an introduction the following elements were chosen:
- A theatrical setting for a typical crime, showing the process through the system
- The Criminal Justice agencies, and a brief outline of the extent of their work
- Graphic images of the inside of Criminal Justice agencies
- How the Police and CPS work together with regards to charging
- The courts and their set up
- Sentencing and the work of Probation and YOT on pre-sentence reports
- The work of Victim Support and Witness Service throughout the process.
- The extent of the work of the Probation service both with offenders and victims
- To show opportunities for Drugs intervention through the system
- Brief introduction of the Local Criminal Justice Board
